About Emily
I am a Year 12 Graduate, and have been tutoring for 2 years to primary students. I have great knowledge in year 11-12 subjects, primarily Legal Studies, English advanced, Studies of Religion and Ancient History. I have taught numerous students, and the feedback in which they have flourished in knowledge and confidence is extremely rewarding. I have assisted students flourish their guidance through their exams passed and results obtained, whilst also providing motivation to students to do better.

My teaching method is student-centred and utilises technology to assist in accessing various types of information. My lessons are geared towards students whom are feeling unmotivated and lacking confidence in certain subjects, and need a sense of motivation, and assistance with their learning within year 11 and 12. I specialise in Legal Studies, English Advanced, SOR and Ancient History. My lessons are student centred, meaning I coach and facilitate student learning and overall comprehension of material, and I measure student learning through both formal and informal forms of assessment, like projects, student portfolios, and participation within lessons and activities, I find this extremely beneficial as students learning is continuously measured during teacher instruction, and I am able to allow the student to lead the lesson in a manner they find important and rewarding. The lesson structure usually entails an introduction to the subject or area of learning which requires improvement, a goal setting for the lesson and theory. Following the theory and teaching, I usually provide a time for students to ask questions and clarify anything, whilst following with homework to consolidate their knowledge. My lessons are extremely rewarding as they are personalised to each student, and as I am a young adult, I connect well with students .
