Introduction: About Me
Hello! My name is Sin Chuan Lim, and I am a professional mathematics educator specializing in elite-level mental arithmetic. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Statistics, which gives me a high-level perspective on how mathematical structures work in the real world.
Beyond my academic background, I have reached the Grand Level in Abacus Mental Arithmetic—the highest tier of mastery possible. As a certified member of the Malaysia Mental Arithmetic Association, I have spent years coaching students for national competitions and Mathematical Olympiads, helping them achieve calculation speeds that often surpass a calculator.
Why I Want to Teach
I am passionate about teaching because I believe that mental arithmetic is the ultimate "brain gym." My goal is to bridge the gap between traditional calculation and modern analytical thinking.
Empowering the Next Generation: Having studied Industrial Statistics, I know that a strong "number sense" is the foundation for future success in STEM, data science, and engineering. I want to give students that head start.
