About Brenda
As a teacher and parent, I understand that learning does not end at the end of the school day. I am here to help you master academic skills or provide support and help with homework. I have been in the classroom for twenty-five years teaching students from kindergarten to eighth grade.
I can help you with learning to read or improving your fluency, comprehension, and speed. I have experience using Science of Reading in the classroom. Need help with a project? I am your person. I have taught elementary and middle school science, STEM, math, literature, technology, history and geography. Feel like you’re falling behind and need extra help? Let me help you fill in the missing pieces. I believe in you!

I have been in the classroom for twenty-five years teaching students from kindergarten to eighth grade. In addition, I have experience with in person tutoring. With my time in the classroom, I understand that each student as their own method of learning. I am confident in trying different approaches to help you be successful. A typical lesson would include a review of the previous lesson, time spent learning and working with the new concepts, and finally time to discuss the goals for the next lesson. Homework help starts with a short discussion of what if any struggles the student is having. This is to make sure the student understands the concepts and skills being taught.
