About Symone
I recently graduated with my Bachelor's of Arts in Education. I specialize in English and reading and have tutored K-12 students while in college. I have assisted students on lower reading levels and have helped them graduate high school on time. I am currently in graduate school getting my Master's of Science in Education from the Johns Hopkins University.

My teaching approach is discussing and delegating. Discussing allows me to approach learning by interacting with my students. I like to establish a great rapport by showing students my humor and how relatable I can be. Delegating allows me to approach learning by empowering my students. I let them know how intelligent and unique they are and that they can do anything. I approach all topics by using everyday things or topics in the student's life and then relate it to whatever we will be learning about. This makes the concepts easier for them to understand which makes it easier to retain the knowledge.
