About Kerrie
I am currently a Learning Disabilities teacher for students with ADHD, dyslexia, working memory and other processing disorders at elementary level in Math, ELA, Science and Social Studies. I have been working full time in the classroom for the past 4 years working with students in Grade K-6. Prior to being in the classroom full time, I worked as a tutor for 4 years in Math and ELA with students ranging from Pre-K to Grade 5 part time during university. I have a BA (Hons) in Education and a Post Graduate degree in Education.

I am a very approachable and patient teacher. When teaching, I like to use various methods, including anchor charts, slide shows, visual games and resources to allow students to get the best out of their learning. During a typical session, I would start with a warm-up question that reviews what we were looking at in the previous lesson and then move onto looking at a new skill or continuing with the same skill we are currently working on.
I always enjoy giving challenges and a reward system to encourage students and to show their amazing progress! I would give homework if I feel it would benefit the student's learning.
