About Kayla
I am a passionate and dedicated elementary educator who loves helping students grow academically and build confidence in their abilities. With a background in Elementary Education and ongoing graduate studies in TESOL Education, I have a strong understanding of how students learn and how to adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and engaging. I enjoy finding creative ways to make learning fun while helping students strengthen their skills and develop a positive attitude toward learning. I strive to create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and celebrating their progress.
I look forward to helping each student reach their goals and become a confident, independent learner!

My lessons are personalized, engaging, and designed to help students feel confident in their learning. I use a variety of techniques, including hands-on activities, educational games, visuals, and guided practice, to make concepts easier to understand. Each lesson is adapted to the student's individual needs, strengths, and goals.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previously learned skills, followed by an introduction to the day's topic. I model the skill, work through examples with the student, and then provide opportunities for independent practice. We finish by reviewing progress and identifying areas to continue strengthening.
What sets me apart is my background in elementary education and my ongoing graduate studies in TESOL Education. I understand the importance of adapting instruction to different learning styles, abilities, and language needs. I strive to make learning a positive experience while helping students build both academic skills and independence.
I primarily work with elementary students in kindergarten through sixth grade, focusing on reading, phonics, writing, spelling, grammar, and elementary mathematics. I also enjoy supporting multilingual learners who are developing their English language skills. Whether a student needs extra practice, homework support, or academic enrichment, I tailor lessons to help them succeed!
