About Amanda
This is my 13th year of teaching at the elementary level. I am a certified elementary teacher with a bachelor’s degree and ESL endorsement. I started my career as a 3rd grade teacher, continued as an English counterpart Dual Language Teacher and then became an ESL or ML exclusive teacher my 9th year and have continued since! My favorite thing about teaching is the students! It’s my absolute favorite to help students realize their potential and find breakthroughs in learning. By combining fun and necessary skills, we will tackle tricky topics together. In partnering, we will figure out your child’s preferred learning methods and interests to make progress possible!
No need to worry if frustrations arise, I also lead Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) techniques at my school and am well-versed in helping students regulate, calm down, process, and get back into a learning zone.
I readily welcome collaboration and feedback -we work best as a team and I’m here to support you!

I am excited to develop personalized, fun, engaging, reading and writing activities/tasks to target areas of need in literacy (reading and writing) for your child. With my knowledge and experience from teaching, I can help align activities to meet standards and grade-level expectations, while highlighting and capitalizing on your child’s strengths to help them become successful learners in either literacy subjects -or even both!? I look forward to working closely with you to meet your child's needs!
