About Luke
I am familiar with all major DAWs as well as being an Apple certified Logic Pro trainer.
I write contemporary electronic music for dance companies and art installations under the alias LSMarley. I have worked with Arts Council UK, Random Acts, HOME, Brink Dance Company, Hawk Dance Theatre, Quays Culture, Leeds Light Night, The Lowry. I am also published by TYPE 91, a record label in the US that is managed by EDM.com and Artist Intelligence Agency.
As well as writing my own music I am the keys player and backing vocalist for indie-folk-rock band Huw Eddy & The Carnival. A band on Midnight Mango's rosta that tours regularly.
Also I work with producer Mark Winterburn, at Edge Studios, Cheshire. There I track guitar, piano, vocals, program synths, arrange string sections, and help clients finalise their compositions.
I am a registered member of the Musicians Union, I am registered with PRS & PPL. I am very familiar with process of licencing and assigning rights for musical works. I have a BA Hons. in Music Production from Leeds College of Music.

I base my teaching approach and content of the lessons entirely on the interests and objectives of the student. I can help with A level Music Technology submissions, as well as helping with degree level coursework, show an amateur enthusiast how to get the most out of music production software, or help an aspiring producer/DJ how to mix, master and incorporate their own work into a DJ set.
Students wanting to learn to produce will need access to music production software of some kind. Basic music ability and instrumental ability are recommended but not essential.
