About Marta
I am a graduated sound engineer and sonic artist, with also an Ableton Live Producer diploma, and I've been working in the music scene for the past 15 years. I've also just completed a Master's in Sonic Arts at the University of Aberdeen. With my project Silent Chaos I played in many venues across Italy and UK and our artistic ability is widely recognized. Also, I started a new techno/glitch project called Phonochemie. I've been teaching electronic music production in the last 3 years, and now I'm going to start a series of Ableton Live Producer workshops in Aberdeen, Scotland.

My teaching methodology depends on the student or group of students I have: I tailor my teaching method compared to who I have in front of me. I can teach at any level, from beginner to intermediate, to expert. I usually use Ableton Live as main DAW for electronic music production, a Moog Subphatty to explain analog synthesis, a custom-built modular synthesizer to explain modular synthesis, drum machines to explain MIDI programming, and Reaper as a DAW for composing. I can also teach how to customize MIDI controllers and how to connect different softwares and hardwares to let them work together, for example Ableton Live with a video manipulation software as Resolume or TouchDesigner, to create an audio/video performance.
