About Chanceler
While I am not a career tutor, I have been immersed in mathematics for many years as a student myself, and have comprehensive knowledge of the entry to this field as a result. In some ways, my status as a student can come as an advantage; positioning me as a peer rather than a detached teacher. As someone who is also actively learning and partaking in classes not far down the line for the student themselves, I can connect with my students and work through problems with them not unlike a classmate would.

My teaching method is going to focus around the student and what works best for them. Each individual learns in a different way, and an examples that work well for one student may not work for another. My experience with mathematics offers flexibility when it comes to examples and teaching methods.
I pride myself in my ability to break concepts down to the "why" behind them. In education--especially math--many concepts are taught in ways that are easy to memorize for most students, but lack knowledge of the reasoning that makes up the "why". While not all students may need such a granular approach, sometimes the best way to learn is from the ground up, and I can confidently support such an approach.
My lessons would be best suited toward high-school level mathematics. For those in accelerated classes I can reach higher, if necessary.
