About Michael
I’m Michael, a guitarist and multi-instrumentalist with over 25 years of playing experience. My background spans a wide range of styles — from rock, blues, and pop to folk, jazz, and contemporary acoustic guitar. Alongside guitar, I’ve worked professionally as a music producer and mixing engineer, which gives me a unique perspective on both performance and recording. I’m passionate about helping students of all levels discover their sound and enjoy the process of learning. My lessons focus on combining technique, theory, and creativity in a way that’s fun, approachable, and tailored to your goals.

I teach guitar for all levels — from complete beginners learning their first chords to advanced players wanting to improve technique, improvisation, or music theory. Lessons are tailored to your goals: whether that’s playing your favourite songs, understanding scales and harmony, improving rhythm, or developing your own style. I cover acoustic and electric guitar, across styles such as rock, blues, pop, folk, and jazz. We can also dive into songwriting, ear training, and recording techniques if you’d like to connect guitar playing with music production. My approach is practical, fun, and structured: we’ll learn theory through music you enjoy, while building solid technique and confidence. Lessons are available online
