About Michele
I am a working musician who has been playing electric bass for 14 years. I have experience in a wide variety of genres including Pop, Rock, Funk, Jazz, Motown, and R&B. I perform in multiple groups and play anywhere from 50-75 gigs a year.
I started out as a self-taught musician, but eventually took advantage of any educational opportunity I could get my hands on. I have attended multiple music camps led by bass legend, Victor Wooten, at Wooten Woods in Tennessee.
In 2019 I started taking private lessons with an award-winning music coach here in Chicago. A couple years later, in 2021, I received a Professional Certificate in Bass from Berklee Online. I also started teaching bass around this time!
Fast forward to 2023, I became co-owner of a music school!
I still take lessons to this day whenever I get a chance. I believe music always offers something new to learn!

A strong foundation is crucial for all musicians, whether you're a hobbyist or an aspiring professional! My lessons will focus on building this foundation through applicable theory, technique, ear-training, and more. These lessons are geared towards beginner and intermediate players.
I believe everyone has unlimited potential, and my goal is to have each and every student experience the joy of playing bass. I don't shy away from the realities of learning music either, it takes time and hard work!
