About Bernardo
I'm a graduate from Bimm (popular music performance) and I have been playing bass and guitar for more than 10 years. For the last 7 years I had more than 200 students of all ages and different backgrounds. Some of my students have had preparation for guitar exams while others are being prepared to get into music unis. All my students that took exams finished with a merit or distinction. As a performer I've played gigs in all kinds of settings such as pop, rock and jazz gigs, functions and orchestras.

I believe each of my students is unique so I prepare my lessons according to the students' needs. My aim is to always help students learn what they want to learn while making the lesson's content fun and engaging, ensuring they make progress while doing fun activities! I can teach a broad range of genres such as pop, rock, jazz, metal, Brazilian music, classical, etc. I can also teach different bass techniques and playing styles such as slap, tapping, harmonics, chord melody, etc.

Perfect! I have thoroughly enjoyed my first lesson with Bernardo. It was very pleasant, instructive and fun, with a clear focus on my needs and musical preferences. As a complete beginner I felt encouraged by his invitation to start improvising already! It feels very engaging and stimulating to be bringing fun and creativity into the study right from the start.
