About Donna
I am serious and a strong believer. I like to make learning a fun, inclusive and settled environment - where the pupil can I enjoy and feel like there is no pressure, a chance to ask questions and talk freely. I enjoy teaching plain and simple. Whilst I am teaching, I find comfort in knowing that I am going to learn something else new about teaching, through a new pupil. I like to encourage a child through their mistakes and examples, because that is the only way of learning and should not be frowned upon.

I have been working in Education (Primary) for the past 20 years and still enjoy it. As the years have gone by, I have found a new thirst for patience and difference, whether it be culturally, religiously or academically. I believe in encouraging children, realising their potential, drawing out misconceptions of learning, explaining methods. I appreciate when children ask for help, I willingly give it. I give praise when it is necessary and do so in a variety of ways, be it, actual, further questioning or re-visiting at a later date.
I believe that all children deserve an education and I would like to be part of their educational journey. Applying my knowledge and experience as a child, being a mother myself and now teaching my own class, is enough for me to help an individual to unlock what they have been finding challenging and discovering that it is okay to make mistakes, because you can learn from them.
My lessons include mental ability, vocalising, discussion and written work. I use Zoom and Google Classroom to communicate the lessons.
