About Meghan
I have been in education for almost 10 years. I have worked with children/teens, ages 6 weeks to 13 years of age. With the wide age range, I have learned so much about the key foundations students need. As a teacher, my job is to help build a solid foundation, for students to love learning and feel successful. I am a supporter, guide and mentor for all students. I will be your biggest cheerleader to encourage you to keep going and believe in yourself!

I learn about each student and what unique skills they have, what they are interested in and what they may struggle with. This helps me understand their individual learning styles and how I can make lessons around that. I want all students to feel successful, so I think it is important to understand the student before teaching them.
A lesson would start off as a review from a previous lesson, then I would begin an introduction of the new lesson. I would ask questions about what is being taught and see if the student knows anything about what will be taught. I would then begin the lesson, leaving room for questions and examples. I would not move on until I knew the student was at mastery.
My lessons are geared towards lower elementary school, students who struggle with reading.
I am patient, loving, and positive with a strong passion for helping others.
