My Teaching Approach
Hi! I’m James Arnel, an Education graduate specializing in Social Studies. I believe that students learn best when lessons are clear, practical, engaging, and connected to real-life situations. My goal is not only to help students memorize information but also to understand concepts and apply what they learn.
My Teaching Methods and Techniques
I use a student-centered approach and adjust my teaching style according to the learner’s level, needs, and learning pace. For Social Studies, I use discussions, examples from everyday life, storytelling, questioning, and simple explanations to make historical, political, economic, and social concepts easier to understand.
For Computer Skills, I focus on hands-on learning. I demonstrate each task step-by-step, allow students to practice, and provide guidance when they encounter difficulties. I can help learners develop essential computer skills such as basic computer operation, productivity software, file management, internet use, and other practical digital skills.
A Typical Lesson
A typical lesson begins with a short introduction or review of the previous topic. I then explain the new concept using simple examples and demonstrations. After that, the student practices or answers guided questions so I can check their understanding. We finish with a short review and clarification of any areas that need more practice.
What Sets Me Apart
What sets me apart is my combination of an Education background and interest in technology. I aim to make lessons comfortable and approachable, especially for students who may find a subject difficult or feel hesitant to ask questions. I am patient, willing to explain concepts in different ways, and focused on helping students become more confident and independent learners.
