About Daniel
As a proficient A-level student who has already achieved maximum UMS at Economics A-level, I bring a deep understanding of the subject and a passion for sharing that knowledge with others. In my tutoring, I focus on fostering a strong conceptual foundation while encouraging independent problem-solving and critical thinking. Key aspects of my teaching approach include: Personalised Learning: I tailor my lessons to each student’s current level and learning style, ensuring that complex topics are broken down into clear, manageable steps. Building Confidence: I emphasise understanding core principles thoroughly, which helps students approach challenging problems with confidence and resilience. I promote active participation through discussions, visual explanations, and step-by-step reasoning, making the learning process both engaging and effective. Preparation for Exams: I prepare students for their exams by focusing on exam technique, time management, and familiarisation with the types of questions they will encounter. Encouraging Passion for Economics: My goal is to inspire enthusiasm for the subject, demonstrating its beauty and utility beyond the classroom. Overall, I aim to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment where students can excel in mathematics and develop a lifelong appreciation for the subject.

Hi! I’m a student at Imperial College London with two years of tutoring experience. I love helping students find their own way of understanding problems. One of my favourite things about tutoring is seeing how differently students approach the same question. Everyone has their own strengths and ways of thinking, and I love working with students to figure out what methods make the most sense for them, rather than simply telling them what to do. Over the past two years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students of different ages and abilities, helping them build not only their knowledge but also their confidence. I try to make lessons relaxed, encouraging and enjoyable — because learning is so much easier when you actually feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I’m patient, enthusiastic and always happy to explain something in a different way if it doesn’t click the first time.

I’ve known Daniel for many years, and both of my children have benefited enormously from his one-to-one tutoring.
He initially began tutoring my son when he transitioned from primary school to grammar school. My son found the pace of his maths lessons quite fast, but Daniel was able to break key concepts down into smaller, manageable chunks and explain them in a friendly, patient and supportive way. This made a huge difference to my son’s confidence and understanding.
Daniel has a real ability to connect with young people and make lessons feel relaxed and approachable, rather than something to dread each week. Over time, my son’s maths skills improved greatly, and he made significant progress in both his confidence and ability. The one-to-one sessions gave him the opportunity to consolidate topics he had found difficult, revise areas he needed to revisit, and get ahead with new concepts before they arose in school. His pace, stamina and overall approach to maths improved considerably.
Daniel later also supported my eldest child with some of her A-level maths concepts, and she too gained a great deal from the individual attention and tailored support. It was clear that he took the time to understand exactly where she needed help and adapted his teaching accordingly.
I have been so pleased with the progress both of my children made through their one-to-one sessions with Daniel. His patience, encouragement and ability to explain things clearly have made a real and lasting difference. I would wholeheartedly recommend Daniel to any parent looking for a knowledgeable, supportive and engaging tutor.Daniel is incredibly supportive in helping Declan with his GCSE in Maths, which he took a year early. His encouragement and patience made a real difference, helping my son build confidence and achieve what he deserved to achieve in the subject on results day. Daniel is a fantastic young man who genuinely goes above and beyond to support his students, while also being a true gentleman in everything he does. Keep it up Daniel and I wish you luck in London!
We couldn’t recommend our daughter’s maths tutor highly enough. He has a fantastic way of breaking down difficult GCSE maths into simple, manageable steps, making it much easier for her to understand.
He is down to earth, approachable and interacts brilliantly with her, creating a relaxed environment where she feels comfortable asking questions. Her class test scores and overall GCSE grade have both improved significantly, along with her confidence. An excellent tutor who we would highly recommend!View more recommendations
