About Swetha
I am currently a third year at the University of California, Merced triple majoring in Management Business and Economics, Political Science, and Psychology. I have a minor in Cognitive science as well. Being able to interpret big texts and write has been my strong suit for many years as that is something I practice at school whether it be for writing a literature review in my Psychology class or a research proposal for a Cognitive Science class.

- My teaching methods entail me getting to know the student at first as many students learn differently than others. This also creates a comfortable space where the child can ask me for any kind of essay or reading help at any time. I would then cover topics little by little so that they aren't overwhelmed and we establish a steady pace. - A lesson plan would include us going over homework or any assignments they want me to review, explaining any mistakes/corrections, and then going over chapters in a reading/writing book that is higher than their grade level. I may also assign reading pages from high-level books to ensure that they maintain strong skills. - What sets me apart as a tutor is that I have a lot of experience in writing myself as I have been accepted into internships at the Senate and Law Firms because of my writing portfolios. I would love to help and tutor students who don't have writing/reading as a strong suit as I used to be in that same boat! - My lessons are for K-12 and can be used to improve reading/writing skills and help with college applications as well for students in high school.
