About Felipe
I am a university lecturer and researcher with over a decade of teaching experience in econometrics, statistics, and data science. I hold a PhD in Economics from Queen Mary University of London, and I am currently a Research Fellow at the University of Surrey. My academic background combines rigorous training in quantitative methods with applied research in areas such as causal inference and statistical learning.

My tutoring approach is based on building strong conceptual foundations while fostering independent thinking and applied problem-solving skills. I tailor each lesson to the student's background and goals—whether they are tackling their first econometrics course, preparing for graduate-level exams, or applying R programming to real data. Teaching methodology: I use a mix of guided explanation, real-world examples, and interactive exercises. Typical lesson length: My standard session lasts 50 to 90 minutes, depending on the topic and the student’s preference. I also offer short revision sessions and longer workshops when needed. Qualifications and experience: I hold a PhD in Economics from Queen Mary University of London, with a dissertation focused on applied microeconometrics and causal inference. I have taught at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels for over ten years, including at LSE and QMUL. Target audience: My lessons are designed for university students (undergraduate or postgraduate) studying economics, business analytics, data science, or related fields. I also support professionals preparing for data-oriented roles or upskilling in R and econometrics. Whether you're new to these subjects or preparing for advanced exams or research projects, I adapt my teaching to meet your needs and help you make meaningful progress.
