About Mara
My interest in economics grew from observing how economic decisions affect development, opportunity, and quality of life. This interest led me to complete an M.A in Development Economics, where I studied global economic systems, policy frameworks, and applied analysis. With 13 years of teaching experience, I have helped students build clarity and confidence in understanding complex economic ideas.
I approach teaching with a strong focus on relevance and clarity. I encourage learners to connect theory with real-world situations and question assumptions thoughtfully. My lessons create a supportive space where students feel comfortable discussing ideas, making mistakes, and refining their reasoning.
Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with economics through policy research, global economic analysis, and continuous study of emerging trends. Teaching economics is meaningful to me because I see students develop informed perspectives and analytical independence. Supporting their intellectual growth remains my strongest motivation.

Economics lessons are structured to help students understand how individual choices, markets, and policies shape economic outcomes. I guide learners through microeconomics and macroeconomics topics such as demand and supply, elasticity, market behaviour, national income, inflation, unemployment, and economic development. Lessons emphasise logical reasoning and real-world application rather than rote learning.
Beginners explore basic ideas through everyday examples and simplified graphs. Intermediate learners develop analytical skills, numerical confidence, and structured responses. Advanced learners focus on evaluation, policy analysis, essay writing, and exam strategy. Each lesson blends explanation, discussion, and guided practice to ensure steady improvement.
