About Jack
My passion for economics began with curiosity about how societies organise resources and how policies influence everyday life. This interest led me to pursue an M.A in International Economic Policy, where I explored global markets, trade systems, and development challenges. Over the past 10 years, I have supported students in building strong economic understanding through patient teaching and structured guidance.
My teaching style is calm, supportive, and concept-driven. I focus on helping students connect theory to reality, whether through examples of global trade, inflation trends, or government decision-making. I encourage learners to ask questions freely and develop confidence in their own reasoning rather than relying on memorisation.
Outside of teaching, I stay engaged with economics through research reading, policy discussions, and following international financial developments. Teaching economics is deeply rewarding because I see students grow from uncertainty into confident thinkers who can understand the world with clarity. My mission is to help learners succeed academically while gaining lifelong analytical skills.

Economics becomes much easier when students understand that it is not only about numbers or graphs, but about real decisions people, businesses, and governments make every day. In my lessons, I help learners explore microeconomics, macroeconomics, supply and demand, inflation, unemployment, trade, and development issues in a way that feels clear and connected to real life. I explain concepts step by step, using examples from current events and everyday experiences so students can build strong understanding rather than memorising definitions. Each session encourages curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking.
Lessons are designed around each student’s academic level and goals. Beginners focus on foundational concepts such as scarcity, opportunity cost, market equilibrium, and simple economic reasoning. Intermediate learners strengthen graph analysis, policy evaluation, essay writing, and exam techniques. Advanced students explore international economics, economic modelling, development theory, and deeper analytical debates. Practice questions and feedback are included in every lesson for steady progress.
Economics lessons also help students develop a broader awareness of the world. Learners gain confidence in discussing global issues, understanding financial systems, and interpreting news through an economic lens. My goal is to make economics approachable, meaningful, and empowering.
