About Tom

During my school years, I developed chronic anxiety and depression due to being bullied. During these years, my mum was diagnosed with cancer which further exacerbated my symptoms. These transformative years left a lasting impact on my mental health. Soon after, I used breathwork and mindfulness to explore my emotions and build resilience. In my 20s I travelled to China and Thailand to pursue my love and interest in Buddhism. I enrolled in various practices to deepen my understanding of meditation and mindfulness. Upon returning, I began teaching to children and those with severe mental health conditions. I've worked with organisations such as Mind, NHS, Samaritans and also 1-2-1 tutoring and continue to provide practices to children and adults in various settings.

Hi there, I'm Tom and thanks for popping by. I've been teaching mindfulness and meditation for almost 10 years now. My journey has included teaching with the NHS, schools, refugees and countless people of all ages who have benefited from this life-changing practice. I believe that meditation and mindfulness starts right here. There's no need to fly to exotic faraway countries (although these have many benefits!) or sit in the lotus position for 6 hours a day. In fact, the most effective and practical approaches begin where you currently are - both physically and psychologically. I provide a tailored approach encompassing a range of different methods and exercises to help you discover which ones work best for you. After all, meditation and mindfulness is a journey of discovery. So whether it's... - Finding calm - Improving clarity and focus - Managing thoughts and emotions - Enhancing your daily life There will always be a practice that unlocks whatever you're looking for. Over the last 20 years, I've explored a wide range of meditation practices and techniques - from Zen-inspired Zazen, Transcendental Meditation, Loving-Kindness, Breathwork, and simple daily mindfulness techniques inspired by my years spent in East Asia. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to meditation and mindfulness. In fact, the less you know about it the better! Starting with an open mind is all that's required. Meditation and mindfulness should be available to everyone which is why I have kept the lesson fee as low as possible. I believe in a world that has fair access to these practices, regardless of age, gender, socio-economic status, etc. If you are still finding the cost prohibitive then please let me know.
