Lover of Earth, human connections, and community, I aspire to tell stories and make art that stir emotions and touch the spirit. Motivated by justice, centered in creativity and passion, equity, as a nonnegotiable pillar endures with unwavering resolve. I seek to conserve our natural world and understand the power of people in their authenticity and in community; the transformative power that these foundational ideals hold!
My work and life philosophies center conservation, education, storytelling, humans’ social and emotional development, child psychology, creativity, and nature. I appreciate working with my hands, with others, art, and the Earth.
Extending hands and hearts is a source of and refuge for healing and regenerative change. I strive to be part of the extension, in community with others, and of the restoration the planet, human and Earth-centered.

Relationship building remains at the core of a successful educator and student partnership. I speak to those I work with at developmentally appropriate levels, but with the honor and respect as their equal.
I believe that any learning is possible with the approach of first knowing who my students are. In knowing who they are, I learn how to tailor my teaching to their learning needs. I believe in tailoring the lesson to the student, rather than squeezing the student into the lesson. Curriculum and goals will be followed and met, absolutely; however, it begins in learning my student, their needs, and how I may best meld the lesson and objectives at hand with how the learner learns best.
My lessons can be adapted from a kindergarten level through University level; whether a child needs support in learning to read or write, or an Education student in college needs tutoring support in their education classes, I am the person for you.
I believe in a balance of both fun and ritual, where I work to tackle responsibility head on, while infusing play and zest for life. Where learning, living, and play intertwine into learning. I am creative, autonomous and motivated by transformative learning techniques and missions (such as outdoor education, Montessori methods, play and child-led exploration in their learning, etcetera). A world view that encompasses environmentalism, human rights, and a passion for education inspires me to fight for an equitable world for all beings.
It is an immense honor to take part of a learner's path to understanding, a privilege I do not take lightly. As a forever learner myself, I am looking always to better myself and my crafts. If you are looking for a kind and bubbly person to cultivate teaching based in the learner's individual needs, I am the person for you.
