I am an early career professional with a background in economics and a passion for helping people understand the world better. I am someone who wants to see the world learn and I won't stop until you or your child has achieved success in the area you seek me to tutor in. I am a firm believer that anyone can achieve academic success in their field of choice with a little effort, encouragement, and patience, each of which I have in abundance. I am also firmly of the opinion that learning should be fun and engaging and I intend to make my sessions both via my passion and deep knowledge of the subject area. The content of the lessons depends on the student and their needs. I can do everything from homework help and test prep to deeper discussions of more niche topics, especially in history and economics for those students wishing for an additional challenge. For students struggling with these subjects, my approach to tutoring is to start by ascertaining the student's level of understanding, identify areas of difficulty, and work to improve the student's confidence in the subject by working through problems together, breaking problems down into their component parts, and explaining different ways of viewing the problems. Frequent reference will also be made to visual metaphors, incorporating subjects of interest to the student where possible.
