About Alix
I have 27 years of experience in education, specifically in teaching reading. My specialty is teaching dyslexic children how to read. Teaching kids to read is my passion, and I love seeing my students' progress. One of the most important things I try to instill in my students is confidence! Dyslexia can be a superpower and should be treated as a gift!

The lessons for the Dyslexia Summer Course are 30 minutes long and incorporate all the essential elements of a successful dyslexia program. We will work on phonological awareness, decoding skills, spelling rules, dictation, and much more! I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT), and a Reading Specialist. I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading Education. I have 27 years of education experience and have three children with dyslexia and dysgraphia.
