About Chantelle
In previous years I have help and tutored many of my peers in a range of subjects, one being Spanish. As I am half Columbian, I have been hearing and speaking the language since birth; therefore I have helped many students to understand the beautiful language. Furthermore, I have experience in tutoring secondary level business studies and I very comfortable with taking complex theories and simplifying them to help students understand the different methodologies in Business. Moreover, being a business student with a First in my undergraduate course at the University of Portsmouth, I am very familiar with mathematical formulas; as to this day I still use the methods that my teachers taught me back in Primary school. Therefore, I would love to help students at Primary school level with their Mathematics as I do believe this is so important for their future.

My teaching approach can be described as very creative yet academically stimulating. My aim is to keep students interested in my session by making them fun through quizzes or rhymes that you'll get stuck in your head. Furthermore, I believe that repetition is key and a way to remember something we had learned. So, before going onto the next topic, we would do a quiz I created to test their understanding or I would give a scenario based on the content we had learned. Teaching needs to be interactive not a lecture and by interacting with my students, we both will favour from the lessons. Also, I like to personalise my sessions to each student as I feel that this is very important to keep my students engaged and enjoy the lessons.
