About Emma
Every singer starts with a question: What is my voice capable of? For over seven years, I’ve been helping students uncover their answers, not just through vocal technique, but through discovery, creativity, and purpose. My teaching is deeply personalized—I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” model. Instead, we build your voice based on your goals, your style, and your story. Whether you’re a high schooler gearing up for a solo, a college student finding your sound, or a passionate beginner, we start with the basics—healthy breath support, tone shaping, pitch precision, resonance control—and gradually move toward artistry and performance. What sets my approach apart is how I blend technique with connection. We explore how songs feel, how they move through your body and out into the world. My lessons often include interpretive coaching, emotional mapping of lyrics, and guided improvisation to help students find personal connection in each phrase. I also incorporate practice tools like pitch-tracking apps, guided warm-up playlists, and vocal journaling so students can grow with intention and self-awareness. You might find yourself tackling Pop Week one lesson, and exploring emotional intensity through a stripped-down ballad the next. We go wide and deep—expanding range, repertoire, and expressiveness. My students come from diverse musical interests—some sing in choirs, others write their own songs, some are in theater, and others just want to feel more confident in their voice. What they all gain is a foundation in smart, healthy, expressive singing that serves them for life. I also focus on vocal health and care, teaching students how to listen to their bodies, warm up effectively, and protect their voices during long rehearsals or under stress. More than anything, I believe singing should be empowering. My goal is to help you feel not just prepared—but proud. You have something worth sharing. I’m here to help you share it with clarity, power, and soul.

Singing is the art of bringing text, music, and emotion into a unified, living expression, shaped by physical technique and cultural narratives. My teaching philosophy rests on four pillars: technical foundation, expressive interpretation, cultural respect, and continuous growth.
Technique is developed through targeted exercises focusing on breath control, vocal fold balance, resonance tuning, and articulation precision, always adapted to the individual singer’s physiology to encourage ease and vocal health. Expressive interpretation is fostered by exploring the emotional content, storytelling, and stylistic nuances of repertoire, using creative approaches such as character work, visualization, and phrase shaping to deepen performance authenticity.
Cultural respect is essential; we engage with the historical and social contexts of music to cultivate an informed and responsible approach to repertoire selection and performance. Growth is encouraged through clear goal-setting, regular constructive feedback, and establishing sustainable practice habits that support long-term vocal and artistic development. My lessons provide a collaborative and inspiring environment where singers cultivate their voices fully while honoring their personal and cultural identities.
