About Seamus
I am a student at Durham University and am a member of the mens 2nd team for the university who won our BUCS league last season. I also am president of college volleyball within the uni meaning I train every beginner to volleyball across the uni (about 100 people) to play mixed volleyball within the university. I've also captained the mens 3rd team for Team Durham to it's only win that season when the previous captain quit and my own college team to 2nd place in it's college league.

As a student, I primarily help other students in my volunteering duties to enhance volleyball culture in Durham, however I also help out with local clubs in Bournemouth whom I compete for when I can. I break down my lessons into 8 different steps that can be tailored to any level of play and to any group. Many of the specifics in volleyball are done differently by each person, therefore I focus much less on semantics of technique, provided there are no glaring problems, and ensure that the lessons focus on developing the students play style to increase enjoyment of the game through, you guessed it, being able to play more. To finalise, I am an involved teacher who tries to coach each individual as a person in order to play the way that they will naturally be best at as oppose to forcing them to fit a cookie cutter approach to the sport just because it was the way I learned years ago.
