About Samuel

Hi there! I graduated from Durham University with a Joint Honours degree in Mathematics and Physics in 2017. I have since worked in data analytics for the last 2 years or so and will be completing my post-graduate studies at the University of Surrey in Data Science and Analysis this coming September. I have started tutoring as a means of generating extra funds for my studies and I am available for Maths and Physics tutoring, levels GCSE and A Level.

My main method of teaching was actually developed when I worked as a drum tutor (Charles Laird Drums - Warwick). This revolves around the idea that learning anything, whether it be differential equations or simply how to play "Seven Days" by Sting on the drums, consists of "penny dropping" moments which need to be identified and then utilised as much as possible. There is a key element of knowledge that needs to be found in order to fully understand something from the ground up and this key is different from person to person. That's why it's so important to talk and listen to your students in order to see the paradigm of understanding from which they specifically are looking at the content.
