About Amy
I graduated from Newcastle University in 2019 with a degree in English literature and am now at Durham doing my masters. I tutored throughout university and secondary school, helping ages 11+ with reading, essay writing, GCSE and A level preparation. I also work with university students aiding them specifically in the area of Medieval Literature.

My teaching methods are tailored to each student, but are generally based on encouragement and confidence building. Achieving highly in English is largely based on having the confidence to clearly explain and evidence your ideas. Therefore, my aim as a tutor is to enable the student to fully extend themselves and realise the potential that they have.

£10 per hour with the first lesson free as this will be largely taken up by getting to know each other and discuss what the student would like to gain from the future sessions. I also offer a discount of getting 10 hours for the price of 8!
