About Amy Rose
I know what it feels like to sit in front of a blank page and feel absolutely nothing move. I know what it is to be bright and capable and still somehow behind, still somehow stuck. I have ADHD, and I have spent my whole life learning how to work with my brain rather than against it. That shapes everything about how I teach.
My lessons are calm. Structured without being rigid. Paced to the person in front of me, not to some imaginary average student who always remembers their homework and never loses the thread halfway through a sentence.
I work with students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or like they have somehow fallen behind where they are supposed to be. My job is not to push you faster. It is to help you find your footing and move at a pace that actually works.
We start with a free 20-minute introductory session so I can understand your goals, your background, and how you learn best. From there I build a plan around you specifically, not a generic syllabus. Whether you want a structured programme or a flexible lesson-by-lesson approach, I can work with that. If you just need feedback on something you are stuck on, that is fine too.
I use a mix of practical exercises, repertoire work, song analysis, and guided creative exploration, always led by what actually lights the student up. I focus on understanding over memorisation, because understanding is what sticks.

We start with a free 20-minute introductory session so I can understand your goals, your background, and how you learn best. From there I put together a plan built around you specifically, not a generic syllabus.
My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether that is building confidence, preparing for LAMDA or ABRSM exams, developing songwriting skills, understanding music theory, or simply falling in love with music and performance for the first time.
I use a mix of practical exercises, repertoire work, song analysis, and guided creative exploration, always led by what actually lights the student up. I focus on understanding over memorisation, because understanding is what sticks.
Whether you want a structured ongoing programme or a flexible lesson-by-lesson approach, I can work with that. If you just need feedback on a piece you are stuck on, that is fine too.
