About Rachel
I hold my Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) and my Special Education certification, bringing classroom-proven experience working with diverse elementary learners. Having experience in early childhood and special education, I know that standard one-size-fits-all teaching doesn't work for every child.
What sets my tutoring apart is my ability to break down complex reading, writing, and math concepts into clear, manageable steps using structured literacy routines and visual math approaches. Hi! I’m Rachel, a certified teacher specializing in elementary reading, writing, and math for grades K–6. My instruction is completely individualized, multisensory, and data-driven to ensure every student feels supported and confident.
A typical 60-minute session includes:
Warm-Up & Connection: A quick review or fluency check to build immediate confidence.
Explicit Skill Instruction: Introducing key concepts in reading, writing, or math using structured "I Do, We Do, You Do" modeling.
Guided Practice: Interactive exercises, graphic organizers, and visual supports to build true conceptual understanding.
Application & Wrap-Up: Applying the target skill to a real text or math problem, followed by a positive reflection on progress made.
Whether your child needs remediation, specialized support for learning differences, or a confidence boost to stay on grade level, I tailor every lesson to match their unique learning style and pace.
