About Kayla
I am a current junior college student saving to study abroad. I specialize painting and drawing was accepted into the VAC Art Program in high school. Which is an advanced art program where we focus on visual arts, I created realistic pieces in all mediums with a focus on drawing and painting. In college, I take classes on the side, from sculpture to painting on large canvases to mosaics. I would love to help someone else learn how to draw or paint in their own style. It is very therapeutic and I have found with college I find time to do art less. I desire to prioritize my creative mind.

For Sketching Class:
Start off with a basic sketch either of the outside world or you can create a model inside your home of household items.
Take a picture of your angle and send it over email.
Your first sketch will be without my help and to simply draw what you see. The second will be will my assistance and the third a surprise exercise.
My art teacher would ask us to try this exercise in class and most students enjoyed it. I found it helped me learn how to create better shapes of what I was seeing.
For Painting Class:
I like painting the outside world but am open to painting indoors. I would love to use natural resources in our art and learning how to draw not only an object but an entire scene of nature. Encourage yourself to get outside more take in what is around you! Start with a blank canvas, create your background color and we will start with learning color theory, how to manipulate the brush and blending. To paint we will start with a less realistic approach based on your skill and continue to tweak the background, we will learn how to add shadows, highlights, foreground, background and the importance of detail.
