About Munvinder
I am a recently qualified pharmacist; graduating from University of Birmingham and subsequently completing my pre-registration training in London and Salisbury.
After excelling in the scientific field from Key Stage 3 through to A Level, I decided I wanted to take this career path. On passing the 11+ comfortably, I entered Grammar School Education where I comfortably I began developing an interest in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics), Mathematics and Languages (Spanish and French).
At GCSE I achieved:
7A*s- Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Maths (year early), Statistics (year early), History, Spanish
3As- English Literature, Business Studies, Religious Studies
B- English Language
I excelled particularly in Mathematics, thus completed GCSE (Year 10) and A Level (Year 12) a year in advance.
At AS Level I attained: A (Chemistry), A (Biology), A (Maths), B (P.E). At A2 Level I attained: A (Chemistry), A (Mathematics), B (Biology)- confirming my place at the University of Birmingham.
I advanced through the challenging MPharm Masters Course, passing all modules first time comfortably achieving a second class degree. Through Pharmacy I have learnt much that has bolstered my previous knowledge from secondary school by studying about: organic chemistry and designing chemical groups for therapeutic molecule targeting; memorising anatomy of the human body for simple diagnosis of health conditions; also learning about the various diseases that patients present in pharmacies and the drugs used to prevent and manage such conditions.
I am experienced in teaching others especially kids through my interest in football coaching. I have gained the Level 1 FA award and use that to coach a local Sunday League Youth Team. This has helped me understand that different people/ kids have different rates of learning and get to grips with techniques and tasks in their own ways. Using this skill, I can implement my teaching to adjust to your needs.
I have valuable experience guiding my younger cousins through the 11+ process- going through mock papers and teaching them new information on a daily basis. I strive to work hard for the benefit of others as shown through my volunteering experiences and what I enjoy the most is seeing kids happy that they have learnt something new and are more confident with their academic progress.
I have extensive experience tutoring Maths GCSE students (various syllabuses); Science GCSE (higher/ lower); 11+ (GL) to help students achieve their desired outcomes.
