About Mark
I am a skilled Scientist in Bethesda, Maryland. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with an MPH in Epidemiology and a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences concentrating in Public Health Infrastructure.
My skill set is transferable across multiple disciplines and industries, and includes effective communication, mentorship & leadership, systematic data based investigations, and community advocacy. I have a history of overseeing, and having success in, projects that aim to maximize the human condition and tackle inequity facing underserved communities. These skills and experiences would only serve to benefit industry employers that aim to curate improvements in personal independence and quality of life.
When I am not working, I enjoy educating myself on craft beer, training for marathons, playing fantasy football, and reading books on history and policy. I am also a member of RESNA and Cheeky Scientists Association, and on the side, coach young clinical professionals attempting to solve the most pressing crises of the 21st Century.

I tend to have a very hands off method approach to teaching as I believe it allows for creative freedom and personal development. Having said that, I am always ensure my students are on track by making myself available at all times. My teaching style also is more project focused as opposed to test based as I believe this is the best way to learn research and science, while also directly applying such skills to one's area of interest.
