My approach is to find the specific core principles that the student is struggling with and develop a custom set of problems to bolster that skill. A typical lesson plan will have the following outline:
1. Go through general problem sets to Identify strengths and weaknesses
2. Explain core concept(s) using examples and confirm understanding
3. Develop problem sets that highlight core concept(s) to build competency
4. Add complexity to problem sets to establish proficiency
I am patient with my students but try to keep them just outside their comfort zone. I give students the confidence to fail and try new things in order to make the learning process fun. My expertise is in the following subjects:
