About Shanawar
I am a doctoral student in Social Justice Education at the University of Toronto and hold a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Educational Leadership and Policy. I also have a TESOL certification and over 10 years of experience teaching English to students of all ages. Teaching is my passion, and I enjoy creating supportive and engaging learning environments that help students grow in confidence and communication skills. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and listening to music.

My teaching methodology is student-centered and communicative, focusing on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing English. I use clear instruction, guided practice, and regular feedback to help students understand and retain new concepts.
A typical lesson begins with a short introduction and ice breaker, followed by the presentation of key language points. Students then practice through interactive activities and reinforcement through repetition and active use of the language. Each lesson concludes with a short review and summary to help students remember what they have learned.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my approachable and communicative personality, which helps me build strong connections with students and create a positive, confidence-building learning space.
These lessons are designed for learners of all ages and levels, particularly beginners and elementary students who are studying basic English and want to improve their communication skills.
