About George

Aside from helping my patients as a GP doctor, I also find so much pleasure when teaching medicine. I have mastered all of the basic science of medicine like Anatomy, physiology, Pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, parasitology, biochemistry, and histology. And also I studied Clinical science of medicine like pediatrics and internal medicine including its branches (hepatology, nephrology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, hematology, etc.) Personally, I am dedicated and active. I am also well organized and I am good at preparing for exams and helping with homework or research. My main role is to help my students to love medicine more so that they become good doctors in the future.

A student of mine said that I exchanged the hard impression of medicine with an enjoyable and easy one... I have my own ways of teaching that make my students love the basic sciences of medicine like (physiology, Pathology, psychiatry, pharmacology, microbiology, and anatomy) and also the Clinical science of medicine like (internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, and Surgery). I helped my students to get through any difficulty in med school. Medicine is hard, but I can make it easy and enjoyable. I also can finish long curriculums within a short period of time... so that you can depend on me to prepare for any exam or urgent homework.

  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

My interest in medicine began long before medical school. I was fascinated by how the human body works and how understanding mechanisms can explain diseases, symptoms, and treatments. As I progressed through my medical training, I discovered that I enjoyed explaining complex concepts to others just as much as learning them myself.

Private tutoring started naturally. Friends and classmates would often ask me to explain difficult topics before exams, and I realized that I had a talent for breaking down complicated medical concepts into clear, logical steps. Over time, this evolved into professional tutoring, and I have since worked with students from different educational backgrounds, helping them improve both their understanding and academic performance.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach and the topics you like to discuss with students.

I primarily teach USMLE Step 2 CK, clinical medicine, and the foundational sciences that support effective clinical decision-making. My sessions focus on helping students move beyond memorizing facts and develop the pattern recognition and clinical reasoning skills required to excel on exams and in patient care.

What I enjoy most is guiding students through the thought process behind a diagnosis. I love exploring how pathophysiology leads to specific clinical presentations, how those findings narrow the differential diagnosis, and ultimately how they influence management and treatment decisions. In other words, I enjoy helping students connect the entire chain: pathophysiology → clinical features → diagnosis → treatment.

I particularly enjoy discussing clinical cases because they bring medicine to life. Whether we are working through a challenging cardiology case, interpreting neurological findings, or analyzing a complex internal medicine scenario, I encourage students to think systematically and understand the reasoning behind every decision.

My goal is not simply to help students answer questions correctly, but to help them think like clinicians. When students understand the underlying mechanisms, they can approach unfamiliar cases with confidence, perform better on exams such as USMLE Step 2 CK, and retain knowledge long after the test is over.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

Yes. Throughout my education, I was fortunate to learn from teachers who made difficult subjects feel intuitive. The educators who inspired me most were not necessarily the ones with the most knowledge, but those who could make students think critically and understand concepts deeply. the one I remember most is called Prof. Nagi Iskandar... He is a legend and the one I hope I can be similar to him one day

They taught me that great teaching is not about giving answers, it's about helping students develop the ability to find answers themselves based on their strong basis of understanding. That philosophy continues to guide my own teaching today.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

A good tutor must first understand the student's current level and learning style. Every student is different, and effective teaching requires flexibility.

I believe the most important qualities are:

    • Strong subject knowledge
    • Clear communication
    • Patience
    • Empathy
    • Organization
    • The ability to simplify complex concepts
    • A genuine interest in the student's success

Most importantly, a good tutor should help students become independent learners rather than creating dependence on the tutor.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

One lesson that stayed with me occurred during medical school. I spent hours trying to memorize a complicated topic and still struggled to recall it during an exam. Later, when I took the time to understand the underlying mechanisms, I realized I could reconstruct the information logically even if I forgot specific details.

That experience completely changed my approach to learning and teaching. Since then, I have focused on understanding first and memorization second. Many of my students find that this approach not only improves their grades but also reduces stress and increases confidence.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or are still facing in your subject?

Medicine is a field of lifelong learning. One of the biggest challenges is managing the enormous volume of information while keeping up with new evidence and developments.

As a student, I struggled with information overload. Over time, I learned that effective learning depends on identifying core concepts and understanding how everything connects together.

Today, I continue to challenge myself by staying updated with medical literature and refining my teaching methods to make learning more efficient and engaging for students.
  • Do you have a particular passion?

My greatest passion is education. I enjoy helping students transform confusion into clarity and anxiety into confidence.

I am particularly passionate about teaching clinical reasoning and helping students understand mechanisms rather than relying solely on memorization. There is something incredibly rewarding about seeing a student reach the point where they can confidently analyze a clinical scenario and arrive at the correct diagnosis or management plan independently.

Outside teaching, I enjoy continuous learning, medical education, and exploring better ways to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • What makes you a Superprof?

What makes me a Superprof is my commitment to student success and my ability to make difficult topics understandable.

As both a doctor and an experienced tutor, I combine academic knowledge with practical clinical insight. My lessons are highly interactive, tailored to the student's goals, and focused on deep understanding rather than passive memorization.

Whether a student is preparing for medical school exams, clinical assessments, residency applications, licensing examinations, or simply trying to build confidence in a challenging subject, my goal is always the same: to help them think like a clinician, learn efficiently, and achieve their full potential.

I don't just teach information—I teach students how to learn, analyze, and succeed.
