About Diego
I received my Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University and my medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I've completed part of Family Medicine Residency and am currently transitioning to Internal Medicine Residency gearing toward my career goal of fellowship in Infectious Disease. I've been involved in two prolific research projects, one of which granted me honors and special mention in the scientific literature. I have also led communication teams in expeditions with engineers to provide clean water to people from a third world country.

Every student is different and learns a little bit better with certain teaching modalities. Some students are visual learners and do well with live illustrations. Others are verbal learners and acquire knowledge better by engaging in active dialogue. Others still are more auditory and learn more quickly by listening to course material explanations.
I do not have a typical teaching method or technique, I adapt and design a teaching strategy that I think will suit my student the best. This can range from creating live illustrations so the student can visualize the material to giving my own mini-lecture on a chapter that may be particularly troublesome to tackling assignments head-on with my student and occasionally stopping to clarify and teach as we discover weak areas along the way.
I've found that it's much easier to grasp molecular and microscopic information when we can come up with parallels with our regular sized world (which I do a lot of).
My lessons cater best to Undergraduates and Medical Students.
