About Elise
My name is Elise Johnson and I am a current division 1 level college swimmer on Staten Island. I have been swimming my whole life, and trained in swimming for 10+ years. I have taught swim lessons of all levels through swim clubs, and now am teaching on my own as I believe water safety and swimming to vital life skills that should be accessible for everyone to learn.
I hope to teach all my students not only how to swim but water safety and how to be confident and safe while swimming. Additionally, I hope to aid in learning all the swim strokes and improving those who may have a stronger background in swimming and the swim strokes.
If you are interested in learning to swim, feeling more comfortable in the water, or taking your swimming to the next level, I am the instructor for you!

I am able to help all levels of swimmers, from beginners, intermediate to advanced improve their swimming.
I start with an assessment of skill level and choose key areas to focus on to improve basic swimming skills (floating, holding breath, kicking, strokes, etc.).
From here, we work on each lesson to improve foundational swim skills and enhance confidence in the water.
As a swim instructor, I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment where the learner can feel safe to explore new skills. I work individually with each student to adhere to their comfort level, skill, and overall individual needs.
I believe water safety is a life skill, and should be taught to everyone in a safe and fun environment!
