About Gilberta
I am a distinguished violin tutor with 9 years of experience teaching students across high school and college levels. I have successfully guided around 290 students, helping them build strong technical skills and genuine musical confidence. My teaching method for Violin, Music Theory, and Sight Reading reflects nine years of helping students blend technical precision with genuine musical expression through thoughtful, structured coaching.
Structure guides how I organize each session, moving students clearly through posture, bow hold, and finger positioning before introducing scales, melodies, and more advanced technique.
Encouragement plays a steady role in my teaching, since violin technique demands sustained effort, so I focus on recognizing consistent progress to keep students motivated.
Adaptability shapes how I adjust lessons to different learning styles, whether a student needs more repetition, slower pacing, or deeper theory explanation.
Sessions begin with posture, bow hold, and finger positioning, followed by scales and simple melodies, with music theory basics like rhythm and note reading introduced early.
As students advance, I focus on intonation, tone quality, and more complex bowing techniques, along with sight reading practice and stage presence for performance focused learners.
