About Etta
Teaching Piano has been a wonderful journey for me over the past 6 years. I specialize in helping college students improve their piano skills while building confidence and creativity through enjoyable lessons.
My teaching style combines clear communication, patience, and practical learning. I make every lesson interactive and encourage students to participate actively so they develop both knowledge and confidence.
I use innovative teaching methods such as digital learning materials, rhythm training, ear development exercises, visual demonstrations, and song-based learning. These approaches make learning interesting while improving technical ability.
Students learn note reading, scales, chords, timing, posture, hand coordination, and expressive performance. I provide regular progress reviews and personalized advice so students continue improving with motivation and confidence.

My teaching methodology is based on helping students learn piano in a simple, enjoyable, and organized way. Every student has different goals, so I begin by understanding their experience, interests, and learning style. This allows me to prepare lessons that are personalized and effective.
I use real-life examples and practical case studies to explain every concept. Rhythm is connected to everyday activities like walking, clapping, and talking. Music theory is explained through songs students already know, making scales, chords, and melodies easier to understand. This practical learning method helps students remember concepts and use them confidently while playing.
Understanding is the foundation of my teaching. I make sure students understand every lesson before moving to the next one. Instead of only memorizing music, they learn the purpose behind every technique and exercise. This helps them become confident and independent musicians.
Communication is very important in my classes. I explain every topic in simple English, demonstrate techniques clearly, and encourage students to ask questions. I give regular feedback and practical practice tips so students continue improving after every lesson.
Integrity is one of my strongest teaching values. I believe in honesty, patience, professionalism, and respect. I encourage students to practice regularly and stay motivated throughout their musical journey.
Besides piano, I also teach keyboard, music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, improvisation, accompaniment, chord progressions, and beginner music composition. My goal is to help students build lifelong musical skills while enjoying every stage of learning.
