About Ben
My first acting job, I was 17 and Channel 5 had just started up and I got to present on a morning documentary show my co-host was a dog called Toby and his name went above my own on the credits, soon after and went to Bodywork Cambridge to study performing arts they were my new family and I'm still in contact with them now. I moved to Bristol with my girlfriend now wife, we have a family and enjoy time at the beach. In Bristol I have worked in TV, the corporate world, modelling and theatre. I teach at the Bristol School of Acting, Cheltenham Youth Theatre and this summer I got to run a master class at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Summer School

I have just finished my MA in Drama Directing at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where I have been able to sharpen and investigate my practice, really getting to see what works and what to do when people learn and create in different ways. Some of my favourite ways to help someone with script is actioning and uniting Mike Alfred's style of different every night, Stanislavski techniques to create the script into a journey and look at Laban's efforts to get character into the body.

Perfect! My 11 year old had a trial session with Ben. He made it really comfortable, gave some great tips for the school play which already helped his confidence and was really patient.
Perfect! I am a beginner to acting and Ben was very encouraging and made me feel confident. He was supportive and happy to answer any questions.

Ben is a very welcoming and easygoing person. We know each other for quite a few years now - we did some dance work together. He is a great teacher! Ben got amazing knowledge and lots to give out! He is also a very productive and organized person!
Ben took on the crazy task of getting me ready to pull off a first dance with my new wife to a Latin beat! And we nailed it!!! (Well, from where I started it was a miracle!). Ben was brilliant in every way, great coach, fun to work with and really accommodating. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend
