About Rowan
Hi, I'm Rowan! I am a disciplined and ambitious digital technology specialist with a passion for web development, programming, and cybersecurity. Having recently completed a full-time T Level qualification in Digital Production, Design and Development, equivalent to three A Level, alongside an Extended Project Qualification focusing on quantum computer threats to public encryption, my technical knowledge is completely up to date with modern standards.
My approach to technology is rooted in real-world application. I currently work as a Junior Front-End Web Developer, where I build and optimise custom website pages daily. Beyond web design, my background includes working on cross-platform AR applications using Godot and C#, asset creation in Blender, and hands-on work experience with PlayStation learning hardware configuration and quality assurance testing methodologies.
Throughout my journey, which also includes completing my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and developing a long-term dedication to competitive gymnastics, I have built strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills. Because I have successfully navigated the UK computer science curriculum very recently, I know exactly what it takes to grasp these concepts clearly. I bring that same growth mindset to my tutoring, helping students bridge the gap between complex code and practical, rewarding technical skills.

My Approach & Teaching Methodology:
I believe the best way to learn computing and programming is by doing, not just reading from a textbook. My lessons are highly interactive and structured around practical, real-world application. Whether we are breaking down a complex Python script, understanding database logic, or building a responsive web page, I guide students step-by-step through live coding exercises and interactive problem-solving. I adapt my pace to each individual, focusing heavily on building a strong fundamental understanding and logical mindset so students feel confident solving programming challenges independently.
Typical Lesson Length:
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, which provides the perfect amount of time to review a concept, dive into hands-on practice, and clear up any questions without causing screen fatigue.
