About Andrea
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Aspiring Ethnographer and Photojournalist. Cultural Anthropology graduate. Environmentalist. I am interested in understanding the complexity of the phenomena that cause suffering to human beings and to give voice to them in order to make otherwise complex issues accessible to everyone through the immediacy of images to sensitize public opinion to such problems. I am a young, ambitious photographer and filmmaker who aspires to become an ethno-photographer and photojournalist. I have 5 years of academic experience as a student, and 10 years of experience as a photographer, working professionally and as a freelancer. SERVICES I am a very patient person and have numerous approaches to tutoring my students. For a remote session, I send out a Zoom Meeting invitation to you and give you access to my desktop. I can offer my assistance with photography, both theoretical and technical, and also with Lightroom and more in general with photo editing and printing. I understand that there are different kinds of learning methods, so as long as you can find your style and the appropriate method, I believe that you can get twice the result with half the effort. I have been told to be good at breaking down complex coding problems and techniques. I give lessons to anyone who is starting or already knows the basics and wants to take their craft further by structuring the lessons based on what the student wants to do and where they are starting from. I like to teach in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere but with a goal-based perspective. My typical approach is the following: 1. Understanding the goals of the project or of the task 2. Planning the topics to cover in the lesson related to point 1 3. Discussing the study plan and setting the goals 4. Showing and explaining the solutions, and practicing with the students both on students' real-life images and projects and further examples. 5. Recapping the learning goals, testing and monitoring the progress made by the students
