Bon dia! Welcome to the Simon Says Online Catalan school! Self-created online lessons for adults and children, suitable for beginners and those wishing to practise and improve their Catalan.

I really enjoyed my lessons with Simon, he takes his time to explain and revisit anything to make sure you have understood. He is always patient, kind and just a really great teacher. Lesson content is interesting, up to date and comprehensive.

I decided to try learn Spanish a while back, starting from zero and with the help of Simon, my level is constantly improving. I couldn’t recommend enough. He’s flexible with his time, patient and his classes are always good fun. He will always cater to your needs as well.

Sometimes I read a passage in Spanish and am amazed with how much I understood… Had a very good conversation with a Spanish taxi driver from the airport last year. Thanks to Simon for the patience and giving the confidence in me and his students.

Will look forward, to continue taking my Spanish to another level with Simon.

Simon has helped my Spanish improve massively over the last few months - that's not just my opinion, but the opinion of my colleagues & friends here in Madrid too. They especially like the local idioms and phrases he teaches me. He structures the lessons very well, and if you have anything specific you need urgently (e.g. how to ask for a haircut, going to a bar etc.) he can cater for that too. I've recommended friends to him, and would recommend his classes to everyone!

I would highly recommend Simon. I am thoroughly enjoying my Spanish classes with Simon. I love his style of teaching, it’s fun, encouraging and totally enjoyable. Very quickly Simon has you speaking and understanding some Spanish without getting bogged down with tenses. Recently I was in Spain and found myself confidently asking questions and answering the locals, it was very exciting and a big step for me as I would normally shy away from trying just incase I said the wrong thing. Simon always says “just give it ago” and thanks to him I now can give it a go.

I would definitely recommend Simon as a tutor as he makes learning Spanish fun. Also he is very patient and ensures you’ve understood what’s being taught. I feel after only a few weeks I’ve learnt a lot which will give me increased confidence to converse with native Spanish speakers.

We started learning Spanish with Simon about four months ago. Before we started our Spanish was confined to the word “hola”. However, Since we started with Simon, we’ve gained enough confidence to try out our Spanish in restaurants, taxis and supermarkets. Simon is an excellent Spanish teacher. Our lessons over Zoom are driven by a formal lesson plan, but are always fun and conversational. He pays close attention to my Spanish and tailors each exercise to my specific “pain point” areas. Having done Duolingo for a while, I have made more progress with Simon in 6 lessons than I have done with Duo for a year! Highly recommended.
