About Lauren
One thing I've discovered through teaching is that students stay motivated when they enjoy what they are learning. I like helping learners connect with music while building strong foundations.
With a Music Degree and 11 years of experience, I've taught teenagers and adult students with different goals and skill levels. These experiences have helped me create flexible lessons that balance technique and creativity.
I enjoy seeing students achieve personal milestones, whether it's playing their first song or creating their own music. Supporting that growth and excitement is one of the best parts of teaching guitar.

My guitar lessons are planned to help you enjoy playing while building useful skills step by step. I combine technique practice with songs and activities that match your interests, making each class practical and enjoyable.
We'll work on chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle playing, rhythm guitar, picking techniques, lead guitar skills, improvisation, songwriting basics, and music theory. We can learn a favourite song, create simple ideas, or spend time improving a section that feels challenging.
You'll receive simple practice goals, regular feedback, and guidance to help you improve between lessons. Over time, you'll become more comfortable with the guitar and develop the confidence to play music you enjoy.
