About Kaia
Female, BA Williams, MBA NYU. I am a violinist, bass player, guitarist and synthesizer player who performs regularly on all of these instruments. I believe in teaching young children to play by ear first. Although Suzuki violin trained, I believe in teaching chord and scale theory at a young age, not just linear melody memorization. I enjoy collaborating on writing and recording original work with musicians of all ages and abilities. I believe music lessons can improve mood in people of all ages, including older musicians with dementia.
