About Alisa
- I am super passionate about the sciences, especially biology;) right before dental school I just started learning sciences from complete scratch for the International Baccalaureate (possibly the most demanding high school qualification out there). I got 7 for Higher Level Biology and 6 for Higher Level Chemistry.
- With the tricks and techniques I used on myself, I was able to catch up and even surpass peers in a subject I originally had no experience.
- I, myself, had an amazing biology teacher who practically changed my life. He was the most supportive and understanding person that help me every step of my science path knowing I had no experience. He never saw me as any less of a student and was unconditionally supportive of me and my dreams of becoming a dentist. I looked forward to going and participating in the class I was at first embarrassed to be in. With his words of encouragement, I am the strong and passionate student I am today. I truly understand how important it is to have a good and supportive teacher. I strive to be able to have such an impact on my students and also help them every step of their journey.
- I tutored IB biology and Chemistry throughout my time at high school. I also have 2 adorable nephews (5 and 9 yo) that I teach their homework to (i enjoy teaching them science over any other subject ;) ) and entertain with fun and educational science experiments. So I do indeed have a lot of experience with a wide age range of students and understand what is expected of them.

We'll be breaking down each topic for easy understanding and memorization starting from scratch!
- I believe 1-hour lessons are ideal (2 max - with going through problems together) for optimal concentration. It could get content heavy and overloading ourselves could make us forget the most important things!
- My lesson would be ideal for all ages! From primary all the way up to Leaving Cert exams!

Alisa was tutor back when I was in high school. I had problems with understanding the complex systems in biology and she explained them to me in very detailed manner and it was very easy to understand as well. She was very patient with me and her way of tutoring was very engaging which kept the lessons fun and always something to look forward to in the day.
Having been tutored by Alisa before, I can say that she has an in-depth understanding of the material and is thorough in her explanations. Her notes are also very neat and is greatly helpful in understanding the material.
