About Naya
I’m passionate about helping adults reconnect with singing in a way that feels safe and joyful. My background includes a DMA in Vocal Performance and 5 years of hands-on teaching experience. But credentials aside, I care most about how you feel in the room.
Many adults carry tension or self-doubt around their voice. Together, we gently unravel that. Through breathwork, posture alignment, and vocal relaxation, we create a steady technical base. Then we shape tone and expression in music you love.
I teach Jazz, Blues, Folk, and Contemporary Adult repertoire with a focus on authenticity. Singing can be a deeply mindful practice. It can also be fun and lighthearted. You deserve both. Starting—or starting again—might just be the best gift you give yourself.

My approach centres on building strength and flexibility together. Vocal dexterity grows when breath and support are steady. We focus on releasing tension before adding speed. A relaxed voice responds better.
Agility drills are tailored to your level. I teach runs and riffs in small sections, focusing on clarity. Melisma is shaped with even airflow and balanced tone. Fast passages must feel organised.
Complex phrases are practised slowly and carefully. I prepare singers thoroughly for detailed embellishments in pieces like The Quartet Player and The Fiddler. We refine vowel placement and timing. Every movement has control. With steady training, your voice will handle intricate music with smooth, effortless grace.
